Horsham Township is having a moment — and it shows no signs of slowing down. The Winter 2025 edition of the Horsham Township Newsletter paints a compelling picture of a community that is actively investing in its future, welcoming major new employers, and building the kind of infrastructure and business environment that makes companies want to put down roots here for the long term.
For businesses considering a location in the greater Philadelphia region, the story coming out of Horsham right now is one worth paying close attention to.
Major New Employers Choose Horsham
Two significant companies made Horsham their home in late 2024, and both speak to the caliber of business the township is attracting.
ClinChoice, a leading full-service global contract research organization (CRO), chose Horsham for its international headquarters. ClinChoice accelerates drug and device approvals to market — a sophisticated, high-value operation that could have located anywhere in the world. They chose Horsham. Township Manager Bill Gildea-Walker participated in their ribbon cutting, a sign of how seriously Horsham takes its role as a business partner.
Align Precision, a nationwide manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, semiconductor and high-tech industries, also held a ribbon cutting in Horsham. They are bringing 150 employees to the township and have plans to add another 100 in the future. When a company in the defense and aerospace sector makes a long-term commitment of that scale, it signals deep confidence in the local workforce, infrastructure, and business climate.
$85 Million in State Investment Over Five Years
The Military Installation Remediation and Infrastructure Authority (MIRIA) marked its 5th award cycle in 2024, bringing the five-year total to $85.2 million in Pennsylvania state funding directed to Horsham Township and the surrounding region. Of that, approximately $32.5 million was specifically invested in economic development and non-PFAS related infrastructure improvements — roads, utilities, and the kind of foundational improvements that make a community more attractive to business investment for decades to come.
That level of sustained public investment in a community is a powerful indicator of long-term stability — exactly what businesses look for when choosing a location.
A Thriving Local Business Association
The Horsham Business Association (HBA), now in its second year, has grown to more than 60 members and represents over 800 businesses situated in Horsham Township. The HBA has been actively hosting networking events, a broker breakfast, a restaurant week, and a job fair — all designed to connect the business community and make Horsham more visible to companies and site selectors across the region.
The effort was recognized when the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County presented the HBA with its President’s Award for leadership in fostering business growth and community connection. That kind of regional recognition matters — it puts Horsham on the radar of businesses and brokers who are actively looking for the right community to call home.
Infrastructure Improvements Underway
The 2025 Horsham Township budget was approved with no tax increase — maintaining the 2.23 mill rate while continuing to fund significant capital improvements. Among the projects underway or planned for 2025:
- Blair Mill Road Phase II widening — improving one of the township’s major commercial corridors
- Route 611 Corridor Improvement Plan
- Horsham Road bridge replacement engineering
- Continued road paving throughout the township including Babylon Road from Davis Grove Road to Sheehy Drive — directly adjacent to Babylon Business Campus
Road improvements on Babylon Road and Sheehy Drive are particularly relevant to campus tenants and visitors, as these are the primary access routes to Babylon Business Campus.
A Community That Takes Care of Its Own
Beyond the business headlines, the newsletter reflects a community that takes pride in quality of life — from the Horsham Farmers’ Market returning for its 2025 season every Sunday from May through November, to the Miracle Field construction underway at Deep Meadow Park, to the first ever Citizens Municipal Academy launching in March 2025 to help residents better understand and engage with local government.
These are the qualities that matter to employees deciding where to live and work. A strong community with active civic engagement, well-maintained parks, good schools, and a growing restaurant and retail scene makes it easier for businesses to recruit and retain the talent they need.
Babylon Business Campus — Right in the Middle of It All
Since 1972, Babylon Business Campus has been a cornerstone of the Horsham business community. Located on Route 463 Horsham Road — the very corridor being improved — the campus offers 16 single-story multi-purpose buildings and a 3-story office tower, ideally suited for manufacturing, research and development, distribution, and corporate offices.
